The Icom IC-F5022M is a VHF marine base station for onshore organisations that need to manage communications with offshore vessels. The unit is powered with AC mains power for static indoor use and features all the radio communications functionality marine base stations need.

Features on the Icom IC-F5022M include a user set mode that allows operators to set custom, frequently used settings for preferences and operating requirements. Users can also activate a voice scrambler function for private communication between devices. Emergency calls can be performed using the emergency call function. When the emergency call function is activated, the DTMF or 5-tone emergency signal is transmitted on or repeatedly on the emergency channel, depending on the channel.

The IC-F5022M features a stun function for remotely disabling problematic radios. Devices also feature a priority channel selection function for quickly selecting commonly used channels. On top of this, the Icom IC-F5022M VHF marine base station is compatible with the MDC 1200 signalling system for additional PTT ID functionality, stun and revive, aliasing, emergency signalling and radio check receipt functions.

The device features a bright and clear display with indicators for transmission, busy channels, signal strength, low power, audible (unmuted channel), scrambler function, bell icon for MDC code receipt and scan function. Function keys can also be programmed for a customised setup.
