Icom IC-M510BB Black Box VHF/DSC Multi-Station Transceiver with AIS

The Icom IC-M510BB is a multi-station marine two-way radio with a wide range of functions and a highly compact and convenient design. Vessel owners can install up to three stations on the black box unit and then complete all operations remotely from HM-195GB CommandMics. The RF unit can be installed out-of-sight, up to 60 ft (18.3 m) away from CommandMics.

As a leading feature for the Icom IC-M510BB, the device is built with an integrated AIS receiver to alert skippers to potential collisions. Vessel owners can also make individual DSC calls to selected ships from the AIS screens.

The Icom IC-M510BB is built with a 13 W amplifier that powers an external loud RX hailer/foghorn, allowing captains to keep watch of radio traffic on the deck or tower through the hailer speaker. Automatic foghorn patterns can also be sounded from the hailer speaker.

Get high-quality sound with no background noise disturbance with Icom noise-cancelling technology. Also, record up to two minutes of audio for incoming messages, so you never miss a message.

Send GNSS (GPS) position, AIS, DSC call and radio channel data to other marine equipment, such as an MFD (multi-function display), through NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183-HS connectivity.

Devices feature built-in class D DSC (digital selective calling) to digitally transmit distress information to the Coast Guard and/or other vessels. Also, use the DSC remote control interface to connect to a PC console software or other external device to centralise emergency communications control.

The Icom IC-M510BB also features an IPX7 waterproof rating (1 m depth water for 30 minutes), an integrated GPS receiver, an AquaQuake function, an external speaker connection from the CommandMic cable and an anchor watch function.
