The NXR-5800E is the UHF model of Kenwood’s NXR-5700E/NXR-5800E range, operating on 400-470 MHz.

The Kenwood NXR-5800E is a versatile and highly advanced UHF analogue and digital radio network repeater/base station. The NXR-5800E powers all networks up to the most advanced trunking operations in a light, compact and space-efficient unit.

The Kenwood NXR-5800E is the most advanced model in the Nexedge range. Devices are over 7 times faster and have 15 times more capacity than their predecessors. They work in basic, analogue mode and also power digital radio networks of all types. A large in-built data storage capacity allows digital network management to include everything from conventional type-C trunking Generation 1 systems up to the latest and most sophisticated NEXEDGE Generation 2 multi-site digital trunked networks.

The Kenwood NXR-5800E is a UHF analogue and digital radio repeater built for all needs, from basic to the most advanced. Develop a network or swap it in for immediate advanced functionality on existing complex trunking radio networks.

Devices feature extensive data storage for complex operations, wideband coverage and 25/5/0.5 W RF output power (100% duty cycle). Digital functionality is built on an NXDN digital air interface, AMBE+2TM VOCODER, 6.25 & 12.5 kHz bandwidth, built-in 0.5 ppm TCXO, UID & GID validation, over-the-air alias, SNMP protocol readiness and FER (frame error rate)/RSSI output.

The NXR-5800E can also be used as a conventional digital repeater, with mixed FM/digital operation, conventional IP networks and site roaming capability.

In FM analogue mode, devices feature a 16 QT/DQTS built-in repeater control, external LTR controller interface, external MPT1327 controller interface, hang timer/time out timer/CW ID, external FM controller interface and EIA voter tone generation.
